Primary challenge: Get my full-time job sorted so I can start on other challenges.
Secondary challenges: Get gardening skills up, ready for growing hops. Build knowledge base about hop varieties suited to this climate (Zones 9-11, in US) and how best to grow them. Keep motivated.
It will be some time before I can get rolling and actually start brewing because my brewing equipment is in the UK. We couldn’t afford to ship it over. So for the time being the blog will surround the above challenges and research about them.
This is a long journey and it really is all about the journey. Although there is a loose idea of a destination (a functioning Micro Brewery) it doesn’t dictate whether I fail or not, because the result of all of this will be satisfying and tasty brews. Other opportunities may well present themselves some way into the journey. Who knows?
